Project Overview
Building belonging to a complex of buildings with a covered area of approximately 37,200 m². The complex consists of two blocks. Block A houses the Data Center in the basement and four levels of offices. Block B has four basement levels of parking and five levels containing services and offices.
The data center consists of four server room cabinets with 4, 4, 4, and 2 rows of equipment, respectively. 1, 6, 3, and 4 of these rows are separated from the main row due to the existing floor columns and the sequence established by the client, BCP. The server cabinets weigh between 600 kg and 1000 kg. These server cabinets are supported on ISO-Base plates, which contain either two or three seismic isolators.
UCansteng provided the seismic/structural design, evaluation of seismic isolators, feasibility and trade off study with traditional options to resist the earthquakes.
