APAS Aeronautical Maintenance Center

The aeronautical maintenance center of the main chilean airport is a one story building with a surface of 55,000 m2 for the maintenance of civil and military airplanes. The steel structure was built using special moment frames to provide an open space for the indoor maintenance of the airplanes.

 

In the perimeter, braced frames were used to provide an effective lateral resisting system.
