Truck Shop Lomas Bayas Mine

UCansteng provided the seismic and structural peer review of the building with a surface of 10,600 m2 for the maintenance of Cat trucks type Komatsu 930E-5 which are AHS – Autonomous Haulage System.

 

The structural system consisted of steel moment frames in the short side of the building and braced frames in the long sides of the building. A heavy duty crane was added to assist in the maintenance of the mining trucks.

 

The floor was specially treated with high-traffic epoxy coating to withstand heavy loads, mechanical wear and protect the workshop surface.
