Project Overview
UCansteng provided the structural peer review of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Santiago, Chile (USACH). This three story building was inaugurated in 2022 and include cafeteria, studying areas, and the library for 1,500 students.
The construction began in 2019 using shipping containers with bracings to ensure lateral stability under wind and seismic loads. The architectural design maximize natural light in the indoors areas. The floors and ceilings were made from hardwood and pre-engineered ceilings.
