Galerias Nacionales Elevator Project
Project Overview
New elevator added in an existing building serving 5 stories accessing the shopping area of the building.
The seismic-resistant structure of the elevator consists primarily of a steel beam-column system. The arrangement of the elements was designed to minimize eccentricities, thereby minimizing the tensile moments resulting from seismic loads.
The seismic analysis of the structure was performed using pseudo-static criteria, keeping the analyzed structure within its elastic range.
